Memorial Day Ceremony, May 29th, 11 AM
At Veterans Park (Just over the Bay Farm Bridge on the south end. It’s the small park with the large flag pole flying our Nation’s Flag)
Every year, on Memorial Day, Elks Veterans, along with Officers and members of the Lodge, attend and participate in our Alameda Memorial Day ceremony. Elks, as a group, will present a wreath in remembrance of all veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Please arrive early (we recommend 10:30 am) to have enough time to park and be seated before the event begins at 11.
This is a solemn event and appropriate dress is expected. (Dark coat and tie for men, similar attire for women.)
All Elks are welcome to present the wreath, but if you do not want to participate in the presentation of the wreath, you are still welcome to sit with the Elks and honor our fallen with your presence. Spouses, significant others, and family are always welcome to participate.
