The Lodge annual Veterans Day dinner will be held on Fri., Nov. 7, to celebrate Veterans Day and to honor members of the Lodge and community who have proudly served our country. Attendance is limited. Cocktail hour starts at 5 pm; the dinner program begins at 6pm.

Veterans comprise approximately 25% of the Lodge membership, almost 1 in 4 members. We also have a number of Elks serving on active-duty. We are hoping you can attend the dinner and take the opportunity to say “thank you for your service” to those who have served our great nation. This is also our main fundraiser for our overseas (care) package program and enables us to contribute to other programs that benefit veterans in the SF/Bay Area.

Tickets are on sale now and are $50 per person. You can purchase them in the Lodge Mahogany Room or online. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Tickets Needed for Active Military Guests

As in prior years, we plan to invite local active-duty personnel to the Veterans Day dinner as guests of the Lodge. It gives us an opportunity to say “thank you” in person. We plan to seat them at tables with members in hopes you can get to know them and learn about their service. We anticipate hosting approximately 30 military members from all military branches. As in 2024, we do not have grant funds to help cover the cost of their dinner, so we are encouraging members to purchase “donated” tickets to host active-duty service members and their spouse/guest. If you cannot attend this year’s dinner but still want to contribute—there is no better way to help than by buying a donated ticket or making a donation via the Lodge Secretary! If you buy a ticket to donate, please let the bartender know it’s a “donated ticket” so that it’s captured correctly in the sales summary. Or, if you purchase online, please indicated that it’s donated.

Remember to purchase tickets as soon as you can. The event normally sells out and tickets go fast!
