August 27, 2022, was a beautiful day on the links at Redwood Canyon for our 11th annual Lodge Charity Golf Tournament, “Grip it and Rip it.”
We had a total of 44 happy players playing to support our local charities and 11 sponsors, Deanie Donato, Sharon Young, the Zecher Family, Doug Eckhart, Mark Graham, Jeff Cowell, Lee and Heather Watson, Mario and Wendy Mariani, Ted Hommert, Joe LoParo, and Tony and Robin Paniagua.
Putting on this tournament was quite a feat and we couldn’t do it without our loyal volunteers, E.R. Stephen Giddens and our First Lady Leah, Elizabeth dos Remedios, Rian Tiernan and Mark Graham, Cindy Hovermale, Tamara and David Hilton, Ted Hommert, Jeff Silva, and Andrew Custer. We are happy to report that we raised over $3,800, so everyone was a winner! Thank you all for your generosity.
The golfing and dinner that followed were fabulous and we can boast that this was the best turnout ever. Thank you to those who participated and also to those who came to dinner. The raffle included a wonderful variety of items that helped move the bar of money raised even higher. This tournament helps fund our T-shirt League and contributes funds to Building Futures for Women shelters, Girls Inc., BSA, and Girls Scouts, and local public school programs, to name a few.
Shirley says, “Ricky and I are forever grateful!”
