We were happy to host the Captain, Crew and families from the USCGC Munro this past Sunday at our monthly Facility Breakfast. The Munro is the newest cutter in the Coast Guard fleet and it’s currently being fitted with its equipment prior to being commissioned for service.
We were delighted to welcome Captain Thomas King, his wife Becky and the rest of the Crew and their families as our guests. Captain King addressed our members and presented a plaque to Exalted Ruler Lee Watson and Veterans Committee Chair, Nick Pereira.
At the Elks, we are always happy to do whatever we can to honor our Active Duty military and to thank them for their service. It was our pleasure to have them for breakfast.
Ohhh, . . . and about the breakfast . . . our volunteers out did themselves! We had Eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, waffles and made-to-order omelettes. What a spread!
