The Alameda Elks came together last night to fill, pack, and wrap SIXTEEN boxes of snacks, magazines and personal items for our active duty military personnel overseas. The boxes will be delivered to personnel on active duty in Djibouti, in the South China Sea and aboard the USCG Cutter Berthold (Remember them from our recent Elks Breakfast?).
Everyone had a lot of fun filling the boxes and working together to tape them up securely for shipping. Thanks to Deannie and LornaMae for diligently filling out US Custom Forms for every box. Thanks to everyone who helped all night.
We had fun doing good work for others. By the way, that is what being an Elk is all about.
